OUR TEAM

ABIJEET ACHAR | CO-OWNER, COO

Born and raised in Durban South Africa, Abijeet Achar is an Emmy award winning cinematographer and director of Indian and Mauritian descent. After graduating from Emerson College with an MFA in Cinematography, Abijeet co-founded Pineapple Cut Pictures as an outlet for his creative and commercial projects.

Since then he’s gone on to DP projects such as “Pageant Material” (World Premiere at the 2019 Atlanta Film Festival), “Water Horse” (Awarded “Best Cinematography” at the 2019 Atlanta Underground Film Festival), “Forgive Us” (World Premiere at the 2021 Palm Springs Film Festival and Audience Award Winner at the 2021 Sidewalk Film Festival), and several other acclaimed projects.

As a Writer/Director, he followed up 2016’s “My Indian Rhapsody,” with “Mysore Magic" in 2022. He's currently developing "Mysore Magic" into a feature film.

ALEX WOODRUFF | CO-OWNER, CEO

Born and raised in Atlanta, Alex Woodruff is a multi-disciplined artist, merging work in music, film, and technology.

After sharing the stage with high-profile acts like Kendrick Lamar (2013) and Big Sean (2011), he founded Pineapple Cut Pictures with the purpose of creating films that reflect authentic black, brown, and LGBTQ stories. Since then he has produced 12 short films, including THORNS (2020) and FORGIVE US (2021) before producing and co-writing 2022's MYSORE MAGIC.

After a successful festival run for MYSORE MAGIC (HollyShorts, Palm Springs Shortfest), Alex dove headfirst into Writer/Director roles, helming the upcoming short psychodrama THOMASVILLE (2023) and short thriller WOODWORK (2023). Today, he is in development for "94," a surrealist episodic pilot based on his upbringing in "The City too Busy to Hate."
